Why Should I Get My Bins Cleaned?

Did you know that that your wheelie bin is an excellent breeding ground for bacteria? Think for a moment about what you deposit into your bin over the course of a fortnight and the residue that is left even after emptying:

  • Food Remnants, Including Meats – Raw & Cooked

  • Pet Waste

  • Soiled Nappies

  • Used Tissues & Other Paper Products

  • The Contents of Your Vacuum Cleaner

  • Non-Recyclable Food Cartons – Takeaway Cartons Etc

  • Wet & Soggy Old Newspapers & Magazine

  • Garden Waste & Garden Cuttings.

The list goes on, but along with the smell, it may not be very pleasant either. Even with these items bagged up, residue from any leakages can collect at the bottom of your wheelie bin and form the perfect breeding ground for disease-causing bacteria.  Especially after 2 or more weeks.

A dirty wheelie bin can attract vermin, cause offensive odours, become infested with flies, and rapidly become a health hazard right outside your home.

How Often Should I Have My Bins Cleaned?

We recommend our 4 weekly services to help keep your bins as fresh and germ-free as possible.

We find that our customers who opt for a one-off clean, generally have us clean their bins 4-5 times per year – This would lead to the same cost as our monthly service.

What Happens If My Bins Are Not Emptied?

Dont Worry! – We know this can happen sometimes. If your bins are not collected, we”ll be back the same day they are emptied. You won’t be charged until we clean your bin. If we can clean all the bins, we’ll only charge you for the bins we do clean.
